Celebrating and advocating for bi+ people across Victoria
Bi+ Pride Victoria (BPV) is a bi+ led community organisation that supports and protects the interests of multi-gender attracted people across Victoria, Australia.
We welcome anyone who is attracted to people of different genders, regardless of whether you identify as bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, fluid, queer, etc. or are still figuring out your sexuality or prefer not to label it.

To protect the rights and improve the wellbeing of multi-gender attracted people across Victoria.
WHAT WE DO
BPV works to connect and support bi+ people. We run in-person and online events for bi+ people and allies, such as discussion groups, picnics, social events, webinars and much more. People from all backgrounds are welcome. These events are a great way to get connected with our awesome bi+ community, make friends and find support.
We also work to protect the rights of bi+ people. We provide education and advocacy about the needs of bi+ people to healthcare providers, support services and government. We research bi+ issues, provide a bi+ voice in the media and are part of queer networks across Australia.

VOLUNTEER WITH US
BPV is powered by volunteers. As a bi+ person or ally, your contribution can make a big difference to what we can offer our community. Volunteering is also a brilliant way of meeting other bi+ people. All you need is a few hours a month! If you have a little time and some skills to share, we'd love to hear from you. Meet the Committee
BPV's Committee steers and manages the work of the organisation. The Committee members are volunteers, and are supported by BPV's members and other community volunteers.
BEN HARBERTS (They / Them)
President
Ben lives on Woiwurrung country, and has supported multigender attracted community in various forms for the past 10 years.
MEGAN GRIGG (She / Her)
Vice President
Meg has a background working in mental health, as well as advocacy and activism, with a special interest in LGBTQIA+ inclusion in schools. She is a part-time wheelchair user and is also active in advocacy for the chronic illness/disability community.
ARIA PLANIGALE (They / Them)
Secretary
Aria is a parent and musician, and has been a community activitist and organiser for over 30 years. They have worked extensively as a manager and consultant with community-based organisations, and have specialist expertise in strategy and evaluation. They are proudly bisexual and free-gendered.
GABI BOYD (She / Her)
Treasurer
Gabi is a plaintiff lawyer working in the personal injury sphere, with a significant number of clients coming from CALD backgrounds. Her free time is divided between football (Arsenal FC and Matildas in particular), queer activities and activism, cuddling her cats, and nerding out over genre fiction. Books with happy queers are her happy place!
SALLY GOLDNER (She / Her)
Sally’s twenty year plus involvement in Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ communities includes Transgender Victoria, co-facilitating Transfamily, 3 CR’s “Out of the Pan” and past treasurer of Bisexual Alliance Victoria. She received an Order of Australia in 2019, the 2015 LGBTI Victorian of the Year and joined the Victorian Women’s Honour Roll in 2016.
TYLER MCRAE (They / Them)
Tyler is a proud bisexual non-binary person. They live on Wurundjeri Country with their wife, and are passionate about supporting bi+ people. In their spare time, you can find them watching trashy reality TV.
Hannah Bambra (she/her)
Hannah is a peer support worker, sexual reproductive health writer and advocate. She is proudly bi+ and working in community support roles.

Bi+ Pride Victoria is a community-based organisation led by bi+ people. Volunteers are at the heart of our work. We include and welcome bi+ people of all ages and backgrounds.

History of Bi+ Pride Victoria
There is a long history of bi+ community organising in Victoria. Written records of bi+ organisations in this part of our continent date back to the mid-1970s, and there have been at least nine significant bisexual groups in existence in Victoria over the ensuing period. Bi+ Pride Victoria (BPV) has evolved from this history of bi+ organising and builds on the legacy of all of the community building and activism that has preceded us. We also recognise and respect the diversity in gender and sexuality that has been present in First Nations communities on these lands for tens of thousands of years.
Bi+ Pride Victoria was formed in 2024 with the merger of two leading bi+ community organisations: Bisexual Alliance Victoria and Melbourne Bisexual Network. Bisexual Alliance Victoria had been formed in 2010 and had a proud history of advocacy and community support, including via the Melbourne Bi+ Chat discussion group. Melbourne Bisexual Network had been formed in 2017 and had a strong focus on research, education and advocacy.
Since 2024, BPV has built on the strengths of both the merging organisations to provide a strong, unified voice and a supportive hub for the bi+ community in Victoria.
